Leh to Rumbak valley Husing Camp
Tour Program/ Delhi to Leh –Delhi 11 nights 12 days
Day 1 Fly Delhi to Leh:
Early morning transfer to the Delhi domestic airport for a spectacular flight to Leh, capital of Ladakh (3500m). The dramatic views of this high altitude desert are punctuated by sharp snowy peaks. Transfer to your hotel where you’ll receive welcome tea. Rest till noon. After lunch, join our local crew then free time to explore Leh on your own. It is important to rest on these first few days at high altitude. O/N Hotel
Day 2, Acclimatize.
Full day at your leisure to explore Leh Market: Leh is full of small lanes with hidden treasures – take the time to explore, or rest up as you are still acclimatizing to the elevation. O/N hotel.
Day 3 Acclimatize and excursion Leh:
Full day visit to monasteries (104 Kms) After breakfast, drive for full day of sightseeing to the Shey Palace, Thiksey, Hemis monasteries and return to Leh in the evening. O/N Hotel.
Day 4 Leh to Jingchan camp:
After breakfast, drive to, and start walking along the Rumbak river towards Zingchen Gorge. Continue up the gorge, a dramatic entry to the snow leopard’s high altitude home in Hemis National Park. Enrooted, watch amidst the cliffs and at the base of rocks where they mark their turf for sign of snow leopard, and other wildlife. At wildlife study camp. Trekking time: approx 3,4 hrs O/N Camp Elevation: 3600m.
Day 5, Wildlife watching:
Proceed for full day of tracking snow leopard and its wildlife prey. Hemis National Park is home to blue sheep, argali (a large horned sheep), numerous mountain and migratory birds, as well as an occasional Tibetan wolf. You are likely to see sign of snow leopard as winter is the time that they descend to lower elevations. If lucky, you’ll actually see one perched high in the rocks or balanced on a near vertical ridge. Return to camp for some warming tea and share tales of the day Camp elevation 3300m.
Day 6, Snow Leopard and Wildlife sighting:
Proceed for full day of tracking snow leopard and its wildlife prey. DAY 7, Snow Leopard and Wildlife sighting: (Huseng valley,)
After breakfast proceed for sighting snow leopard in the Huseng valley trek 1,2 hrs into the huseng valley narrow gorged some steep rocky mountains wallow trees bushes in the valley wonder full sport for searching snow leopard the views of this stark landscape, the sky pierced by upward tilted strata and on snow-free days the ground adorned with hardy alpine plants, provides constant fascination Camp evening back to camp elevation 3600m.
DAY 8, Snow Leopard and Wildlife sighting:
Spend another day in the (Huseng valley,) for watching snow leopard and its prey. in the (Tarbong valley) Tarbong valley is small valley 2 hrs trek from the camp into the narrow gorge, many bushes rocky mountains, see the Golden Eagle nest, back for lunch at Camp after lunch visit agene in the valley stay until drake evening after back to Camp elevation 3300m.
Day 10, Snow Leopard and Wildlife sighting: (Tarbong valley)
Spend another day in the Tarbong valley is small valley 2 hrs trek from the camp into the narrow gorge, many bushes rocky mountains, see the Golden Eagle nest, back for lunch at Camp after lunch visit agene in the valley stay until drake evening after back to Camp elevation 3300m.
Day11, Trek to Zingchen, and Return to Leh:
Say goodbye to your hosts and hike down-valley past familiar snow leopard haunts and piles of carved Tibetan prayer stones to the road head at Zingchen; 5 hrs. Drive to Leh, and check into a hotel for your first real bed in a week! O/N hotel.
Day 12, Leh to Delhi:
Early morning transfer to Leh airport and fly to Delhi. Ful day Delhi sightseeing old Delhi, evening transfer you to International airport and fly with sweet memory.
